
In Kyrgyzstan, subscribers with single-phase connections have the opportunity to sign contracts that allow for power consumption of up to 5 kW. This was reported by Ulupbek Duysho uulu, the Deputy General Director for Commercial Affairs of the Open Joint Stock Company "National Electric Network of Kyrgyzstan," during the program "Elden Sobol."
He specified that the contracts outline peak load hours when electricity consumption increases.
- From April 1 to October: maximum load lasts for 5 hours.
- From October 1 to April: maximum load lasts for 6 hours.
“With the introduction of 'smart' meters, data is automatically entered into the system. Restrictions are in effect from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM in the evenings and from 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM in the mornings. If the autumn-winter period of 2025-2026 goes successfully, we will provide information in April about the possible revision of power limits (kilowatts),” added Ulupbek Duysho uulu.
Currently, the Open Joint Stock Company "National Electric Network of Kyrgyzstan" serves 1 million 653 thousand subscribers across the country.
