This year, the installation of 278 new reinforced concrete poles is planned in Bishkek. The Ministry of Energy of the Kyrgyz Republic reported this.
According to the ministry's data, new poles will be installed in the following electrical network districts by 2026:
- Eastern RES – 50 poles
- Western RES – 103 poles
- Northern RES – 125 poles
“The replacement of wooden poles, which were installed in the 1960s and 1970s, has become necessary, as many of them have significantly exceeded their service life and are in emergency condition,” the statement specifies.
It is also noted that more than 671 reinforced concrete poles were already installed in 2025.
