Kyrgyz wrestler takes third place in the 72 kg category
The international wrestling tournament MUHAMET MALO–2026, held in Tirana, has concluded. In the Greco-Roman wrestling competitions, Kyrgyz athlete Razak Beishkeyev won bronze in the 72-kilogram weight category, reports the National Agency for Physical Culture and Sports.
In the first round of the tournament, Beishkeyev narrowly defeated Russian wrestler Magomed Barakhoev with a minimal margin of 7:6. He then confidently won against another representative from Russia, Kamil Akhmetvaleev, with a score of 7:1.
To reach the semifinals, Beishkeyev defeated Kazakh wrestler Nikolai Khapko, finishing the match with a score of 10:3. However, in the semifinals, he lost to Iranian athlete Mohammad Javad Rezaei, with a score of 1:5.
In the match for third place, the Kyrgyz wrestler displayed convincing performance and ended the bout early, pinning Almatbek Amanbek from Kazakhstan with a score of 3:0, which allowed him to secure third place at the prestigious tournament.
