Bolot Ibragimov proposed to conduct re-certification of all GUOBDD staff

A discussion took place in the Jogorku Kenesh regarding a bill concerning the testing of drivers who have violated traffic rules.

During a meeting of the parliamentary committee on law and order, combating crime, and countering corruption, Deputy Bolot Ibragimov proposed the need for a complete re-certification of both the staff and management of GUOBDD.

On February 24, a bill was adopted in the first reading that introduces mandatory testing of traffic rules knowledge for drivers who have committed violations. After a protocol is drawn up, the driver will be required to take a test in digital format, which will be organized by GUOBDD inspectors of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The testing results will be automatically entered into the database.

Ibragimov noted: "Although the concept seems promising, activists conducted a knowledge check of the inspectors and management of GUOBDD, and many of them could not answer even the simplest questions about traffic rules."

Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Adylbek Biibosunov reported that similar measures are already in the implementation stage.
