
At the Manas market, employees of the State Tax Service, in cooperation with representatives of the local internal affairs department, conducted an inspection, during which a large batch of tobacco products without excise stamps was discovered. This was reported by the press service of the STS.
During the raid, 9,695 packs of cigarettes were seized, with a total value of 1,163.4 thousand soms. Additionally, 24 packs of illegal electronic cigarettes and 33 units of substances resembling snus were found.
All seized products were confiscated in accordance with the law, and the collected materials were handed over to law enforcement agencies for further legal assessment.
Representatives of the Tax Service reminded that for the sale of up to 200 units of excise goods without excise stamps, a fine of 100 thousand soms is imposed, while selling more than 200 units may lead to criminal liability with imprisonment for up to 7 years.
