The city administration has presented a sketch project for a new cultural center, which is planned to be built on the site of the old 'Chatyr-Kul' cinema.
According to the press service of the city administration, the project has been developed to create a modern cultural space.
Currently, the capital construction management has already set up a fence around the site, and work is underway to demolish the existing building.
It is worth reminding that after the fire that occurred on November 5, 2025, the mayor of Bishkek visited the scene and instructed the responsible services to make a decision regarding the future of the site, as well as to expedite the implementation of the new project.
In accordance with this instruction, a sketch project for the new cultural center has already been prepared, and the design work is ongoing.
