In the village of Archa-Bulak, located in the Alaï district (Pamir-Alaï zone), on February 3, local hunters killed two wolves that had been systematically attacking horses. This was reported by Alimbek Aydarov, a wildlife specialist from the Osh regional office of the Ministry of Natural Resources, Ecology, and Technical Supervision.

As Aydarov noted, the wolves posed a daily threat to the mares, so the hunters decided to cull two out of three predators. He added that "the wolf hunting season is over, and now such actions can only be carried out with a special license."

It should be noted that the length of one of the killed wolves was nearly equal to human height.

According to the resolution of the government of Kyrgyzstan, monetary rewards have been established for the hunting of predatory animals: 6,000 soms for an adult wolf, 1,500 soms for a wolf pup, and 2,000 soms for a jackal.

After submitting all the necessary documents, the amount of 4,800 soms for a wolf, 1,600 soms for a jackal, and 1,200 soms for a wolf pup is transferred to the hunters' accounts, taking into account the deductions for the Social Fund and income tax.
