According to the data provided at the commission meeting, since the beginning of 2026, hunters have shot 30 wolves and 41 jackals.
The destroyed jackals were buried in specialized pits in Bekkari under the supervision of a veterinarian and treated with chlorine lime in accordance with veterinary and sanitary standards.
As reported by Turmush in January 2025, predators caused damage to livestock farmers in the Naryn region amounting to 23 million 139 thousand soms over the year.
As a result of their actions, 64 heads of cattle, 368 horses, as well as 214 sheep and goats were lost. Special measures involving hunters led to the destruction of 103 wolves, one wolf cub, and 181 jackals.
According to a resolution by the government of Kyrgyzstan, a monetary reward is provided for the shooting of predatory animals: 6,000 soms for a wolf, 1,500 soms for a wolf cub, and 2,000 soms for a jackal.
The rewards for hunters amounting to 4,800 soms for a wolf, 1,600 soms for a jackal, and 1,200 soms for a wolf cub are credited to their personal accounts after the submission of all necessary documents, taking into account tax deductions for the Social Fund and income tax.
