In order to ensure the veterinary and sanitary safety of the country, the Ministry of Agriculture has announced the introduction of temporary measures concerning animals susceptible to the Nipah virus, as well as animal products from the Republic of India. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture.

The ban was initiated by the Veterinary Service, Development of Animal Husbandry, Pastures, and Feed, which is part of the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Food Processing Industry.

The Nipah virus is a dangerous zoonotic infection that can be transmitted from animals to humans. Therefore, citizens are strongly advised to avoid purchasing animal products without the necessary documentation and veterinary control certificates.

The ministry emphasized that the epizootic situation is under close monitoring, and all relevant measures are being taken in accordance with established regulations.
