Deputy: Before the New Year, Kyrgyzstanis had to leave Russia en masse

At the meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh on January 14, Deputy Suynbek Omurzakov reported on the inclusion of Kyrgyz citizens legally residing in Russia in the Register of Controlled Persons.

According to Omurzakov, Kyrgyz nationals have approached him regarding the blocking of their bank accounts and restrictions on their movement. As a result, they were forced to leave the Russian Federation before the holidays.

The deputy noted: "The existing registry system is not functioning properly. Our citizens have found themselves in financial difficulties and have left Russia en masse. Given the strategic partnership between Kyrgyzstan and Russia, they are asking for this issue to be resolved at the state level and for an adequate mechanism to be developed for exiting the registry."
