The wholesale meat trade at the Osh market ceased operations on January 14, 2026. Now all wholesale meat sales will take place in the new meat pavilion "Chuygun," located on the territory of the livestock market "Altyn-Taka" in the Maevka area. This information was announced by representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Changes were implemented in accordance with the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic, aimed at ensuring compliance with veterinary and phytosanitary standards. The main goal of these measures is to ensure the safety of meat products and improve the quality of food for the population.
The "Chuygun" pavilion covers an area of 800 square meters and fully complies with all sanitary and hygienic requirements. It includes:
- an office and veterinary service laboratory;
- a quarantine storage for meat;
- a refrigeration chamber with an area of 90 square meters;
- other service premises.
