Wholesale meat sellers have moved from the Osh market to the livestock market on the bypass road.
Now, wholesale meat sales in Bishkek will take place in the new meat pavilion "Chuygun," which is located on the territory of the "Altyn-Taka" livestock market in the Maevka area (Pervomaisky district).
These changes have been implemented in accordance with a special resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic and are aimed at ensuring compliance with veterinary and phytosanitary standards, which in turn will enhance the safety of meat products and provide the population with quality food products.
The "Chuygun" meat pavilion occupies an area of 800 sq. m and, according to the initiators, meets all sanitary and hygienic requirements. This pavilion includes office spaces, a veterinary service laboratory, a quarantine storage facility, as well as a refrigeration chamber with an area of 90 sq. m.
The relocation of wholesale trade is intended to improve working conditions for entrepreneurs, suppliers, and consumers of meat products both from Bishkek and from nearby regions.
