Kamila Talieva: We read the laws 10 times, and there's no need to teach us how to work
Talieva had previously criticized the new draft law on state awards. At today’s meeting, she emphasized that deputies should not be told how to fulfill their duties.
“We consider legislative proposals very carefully. I read each of them 10 times, and it is unnecessary to assert that we do not understand their essence. My experience as the Minister of Culture allows me to speak on issues of state awards. I speak on behalf of the people, not on behalf of Orunbekov,” she added.
Kamila Talieva also reported that residents of the Ayil Okmotu Arashan, where about 5,000 people live, have approached her. According to her, local residents are experiencing difficulties with transportation—they cannot get to the city properly due to traffic jams and the lack of a traffic light at the turn from 7 April Street.
She noted that bus No. 12 runs only twice a day: in the morning and in the evening, and residents are asking to extend the route of bus No. 51 by 3 kilometers. “We cannot ignore a written appeal from 500 people, as local authorities cannot assist them,” the deputy concluded.
