The number of victims from poisoning at the "Daamduu" fast food restaurant has risen to 23, with 18 people currently in the hospital.
The condition of all hospitalized individuals is stable, while another 5 people are receiving outpatient treatment.
According to preliminary data, all affected individuals consumed shawarma purchased from this establishment on January 15. Symptoms of poisoning appeared within a day after eating the food.
The State Sanitary and Epidemiological Surveillance Center in Bishkek conducted an unscheduled inspection of the establishment. During the inspection, samples of raw materials, swabs from equipment, and remnants of finished products were taken, and the staff was examined. As a result of identified violations, three protocols were drawn up, and fines totaling 41,000 soms were imposed on the establishment.
The fast food restaurant "Daamduu" has been closed and sealed since January 15. The investigation into the epidemiological situation is ongoing.
