According to the information from the State Sanitary and Epidemiological Surveillance Department, the total number of people affected by food poisoning at the fast food restaurant "Daamduu" has risen to 17, including 4 children.

The incident occurred on January 15. Currently, 13 people are hospitalized, while 4 patients are receiving outpatient treatment. All affected individuals have received the necessary medical assistance, and clinical samples have been sent for laboratory testing.

According to the data from the epidemiological investigation, all affected individuals consumed shawarma purchased at "Daamduu" on the day of the incident. The first symptoms of poisoning appeared within a day.

Specialists from Bishkek conducted an unscheduled inspection of the establishment. During the inspection, samples of ingredients, swabs from equipment, and product remnants were collected, and employees were examined for intestinal infections.

As a result of the identified violations, three protocols were drawn up, and fines totaling 41,000 soms were imposed. The establishment's manager was issued a sanitary order to close the fast food restaurant starting January 15, and the facility was sealed.

The investigation into the epidemiological situation is ongoing, and additional information will be provided as laboratory analysis results are obtained.

The Department also reminds entrepreneurs of the importance of adhering to sanitary standards and advises the public to purchase food only from certified places and to seek medical help immediately if symptoms of poisoning appear.
