The State National Security Committee shifts from 'intimidation ideology' to business protection

Active reform has begun in the State National Security Committee of the Kyrgyz Republic, aimed at reducing the politicization of the agency and eliminating pressure on businesses. This was reported by Jumgalbek Shabdanbekov, the chairman of the GKNB, in an interview with the AKIpress agency.

According to him, a key point of the changes will be the refusal to interfere in the economy, which will allow for more effective cooperation with entrepreneurs.

“Starting from January 2026, all unjustified inspections of businessmen will cease. We are moving from a tactic of intimidation to legal methods of operation and depoliticizing our agency. The president has tasked us with stopping pressure on businesses and unnecessary inspections. It is important that dialogue with business representatives becomes regular; however, responsibility for participation in criminal schemes will remain for unscrupulous participants,” he noted.
