Changes in the leadership of the special services continue.
According to the president's decree, Timur Shabdanbekov, who held the position of deputy chairman of the GKNB, has been dismissed.
His position has been taken by Akylbek Namazov.
It should be noted that on February 10, President Sadyr Japarov already dismissed the chairman of the GKNB, Kamchybek Tashiev, and three of his deputies. In addition, the Border Service and the State Guard Service were separated into independent structures, having been removed from the GKNB.
The acting chairman of the special service has been appointed as Jumgalbek Shabdanbekov.
On February 14, there were also changes at the leadership level: Eldar Jakypbekov, who headed the GKNB for Bishkek, was removed from his post and later arrested on suspicion of corruption crimes.
Two days later, on February 16, Salmoor Jumabekov left the post of head of the GKNB for the city of Osh and the Osh region.
