On February 17, members of the Central Commission for Elections and Referendums of the Kyrgyz Republic plan to consider the issue of depriving the mandate of the deputy of the Jogorku Kenesh, Eldar Sulaymanov.
It should be noted that in January, the deputy's name became a topic of discussion in the media and social networks after statements from his ex-wife, Asel Azamatova. She claimed that she was subjected to domestic violence by Sulaymanov. The Main Internal Affairs Directorate of Bishkek confirmed that an investigation is being conducted regarding this incident.
Eldar Sulaymanov himself stated that the accusations against him are one-sided and require legal assessment in the established manner. Later, video recordings from surveillance cameras appeared on social media, showing his ex-wife striking him.
It is worth noting that in the VIII convocation of the Jogorku Kenesh, Sulaymanov was elected from the Aksy multi-mandate district No. 5 in the Jalal-Abad region.
