Eldar Suimanov, a deputy of the Jogorku Kenesh, has once again commented on the allegations of domestic violence made by his ex-wife Asel Azamatova.

The parliamentarian claims that he has never resorted to physical violence against his wife and believes that the accusations are aimed at creating a false impression in society against the backdrop of the current issue of domestic violence.

Suimanov recounted that he met Asel in 2016, after which they started a family and had three sons. According to him, during their life together, there were verbal conflicts that became more frequent over time. The deputy also noted that he sometimes became a victim of aggression.

According to the deputy, there were incidents in their relationship involving property damage, including a car and windows in the house. He mentioned that he faced threats, including from his ex-wife, who allegedly used a knife and threw objects. In his opinion, these conflicts were the reason for their breakup.

Suimanov also reported that some disputes with Asel occurred in public places and even required police intervention. He added that in such situations, he was often held responsible.

This year, the couple divorced. Eldar noted that after the separation, he left his ex-wife an apartment in Bishkek and continued to support the children, as well as provide financial assistance to Asel Azamatova, including paying for their education and trips abroad.

The deputy shared that there was an attempt to restore their relationship in May 2025, which was unsuccessful. Nevertheless, he continues to support the children and their mother.

Discussing the current situation, the parliamentarian stated that he considers the accusations against him to be unfounded and driven by emotional state after the divorce. He urged the public to be restrained in their judgments and reminded that this is a private matter.

Eldar Suimanov added that this would be his last public comment on the issue, emphasizing that despite the conflicts, Asel remains the mother of his children, and he asks that no offensive remarks be made about her.

Previously, Asel Azamatova stated on social media that she had been subjected to violence by her ex-husband — the deputy of the Jogorku Kenesh.

The Main Internal Affairs Directorate of Bishkek reported that an investigation is underway in this case, and a protection order has been issued to the woman.

Recently, Eldar Suimanov stated that the accusations are one-sided and require legal assessment.
