The resignation of Kamchybek Tashiev from the position of chairman of the State National Security Committee of Kyrgyzstan was commented on by the press secretary of the president, Askhat Alagozov, in an interview with the editorial office of VB.KG.
He reported that President Sadyr Japarov explained this decision as follows:
“I acted in the interests of our state to avoid a split in society and among state structures, as well as to strengthen unity,” - quoted the president's words his press secretary.
