Fight Against Crime
A particularly important moment in Kamchybek Tashiev's career was the special operation conducted on October 4, 2023, during which the criminal authority Kamchybek Asanbekov, known as Koli Kyrgyz, was eliminated. This individual was considered one of the most influential figures in the criminal world and was linked to the international network "Brotherhood Circle," controlling shadow financial flows and the prison hierarchy. After Asanbekov's elimination, Tashiev stated: "I was forced to make this decision for the good of the state. We closed the era of thieves in law."
Following this operation, the GKNB reported significant pressure on organized crime and a "cleaning" from shadow influences. According to official data, assets worth hundreds of millions of soms were returned to state ownership, including real estate and cash. In recent years, the committee has conducted numerous high-profile operations, from detaining leaders of criminal groups to seizing illegal assets. According to the agency, the total amount of returned assets exceeded 350 billion soms, including shadow schemes and smuggling.
Kamchybek Tashiev claimed that "there are no more watchers," emphasizing the liberation of business from criminal pressure. These words became part of his political image and were actively quoted.
Border Issues
In the field of national security, Tashiev was also responsible for negotiations on the delimitation and demarcation of the state border with Tajikistan. Kyrgyzstan has about 970 kilometers of border with this country, of which more than 30 sections remained disputed at the beginning of the negotiations. Under his leadership, the parties agreed on most of the border, including previously conflict points.

However, after Tashiev's resignation, the president noted that the decision was made to maintain the unity of the state and prevent a split. This statement became a topic of discussion among experts, who saw it as a signal for the need to redistribute key centers of influence in the political system.
