The head of state noted that this decision was made to strengthen national unity.
Askat Alagozov, the press secretary of the President of Kyrgyzstan, commented on the recent resignation of Kamchybek Tashiev from the position of Chairman of the State Committee for National Security (SCNS).
According to him, President Sadyr Japarov explained his actions as follows:
“I made this decision primarily in the interests of our state, to avoid a split in society and among various state structures, as well as to strengthen unity,” Alagozov quotes the president's words.
It is worth reminding that today the president signed a decree according to which Kamchybek Tashiev is relieved of his duties as Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Chairman of the SCNS.
Jumgalbek Shabdanbekov has been appointed as the acting head of the special service.
