President Sadyr Japarov commented on the decision to dismiss Kamchybek Tashiev from the position of Deputy Head of the Cabinet and Head of the State Committee for National Security (GKNB).
According to press secretary Askat Alagozov, the president emphasized that this decision was made in the key interests of the state, aimed at preserving public unity and preventing possible conflicts between various state structures.
Jumgalbek Shabdanbekov has been temporarily appointed as the head of the GKNB, and his candidacy has already been submitted for approval to the Jogorku Kenesh.
Shabdanbekov, who is 55 years old, has held the position of head of the 9th service and deputy chairman of the GKNB since 2020. This service is responsible for the protection of the country's top officials and former heads of state. He was born on September 22, 1970, and in 2022 he was awarded the rank of Major General.
