An alternative road may be built to Manas Airport

In Kyrgyzstan, a plan is being discussed to create an alternative road to Manas International Airport. This information was provided by the press service of the Ministry of Transport and Communications.

On January 17, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry Bakyt Torobaev reviewed the project at the site of its proposed construction.

Minister of Transport and Communications Absattar Syrgabaev, along with representatives of the ministry, spoke about the key objectives of the project, as well as its technical specifications and implementation stages. The road is planned to be four lanes and 17 kilometers long, starting from the intersection of the Northern Bypass Road of Bishkek with the Young Guard Avenue. The project also includes a two-level interchange, lighting, and landscaping.

The Ministry of Transport also noted that research and design work is planned to be conducted in the near future.

In addition, a two-lane road and a bridge, 8.7 kilometers long, are planned to be built in the Chui region from the village of Mramornoye to the village of Vinogradnoye.

The ministry emphasized that this project aims to reduce traffic congestion, enhance road safety, improve infrastructure, and develop interregional connections.
