At "Manas" Airport, there is heavy fog. Several flights have been delayed.

Today, January 14, a thick fog is observed at Manas Airport, which has led to flight delays. This information was provided by the OJSC "Airports of Kyrgyzstan".

According to the meteorological service, visibility at the airport is only 175 meters, while the required visibility for safe operations reaches 800 meters.

Flights have been delayed, including departures from Istanbul, as well as a flight from Sharm El Sheikh heading to Tashkent. The U62803 flight from Moscow has also been delayed, the company reported.

The following flights have been rescheduled:

• K1311 from Bishkek to Osh (from 11:00 to 14:00).
• MN65 from Bishkek to Batken (from 08:55 to 11:30).
• MN45 from Bishkek to Kerben (from 10:30 to 11:30).

It is worth noting that a modern Category III (CAT III) lighting system was previously installed at the airport, which is expected to improve conditions for the arrival and departure of aircraft in fog and low visibility. This will significantly reduce the likelihood of delays and cancellations, as well as enhance the reliability of air transportation, the company stated.

The OJSC also emphasized that the decision to land an aircraft is made solely by the pilot.
