The Deputy Head of the State Penitentiary Service has been relieved of his duties

Kurmanbek Sokeiev has been relieved of his duties as Deputy Chairman of the State Penal Execution Service (GSIN), where he headed the Department of Security and Escort. The order for his dismissal was signed by Adylbek Kasymaliev, the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers.

At this time, the Cabinet of Ministers is not disclosing the reasons that led to this decision and is not announcing a new appointment.

Sokeiev took up the position of Deputy Head of GSIN in April 2025.
