Protests in Iran: Trump urged protesters to seize power institutions

In his message on the Truth Social platform, he stated: "Iranian patriots, continue the protests — seize your power! Remember the names of those who kill and rape. They will pay a high price. I have canceled all meetings with Iranian officials until the senseless killings of protesters stop. Help is on the way. Let's make Iran great again."
Trump also noted that he canceled all meetings with Iranian representatives in response to the ongoing killings of protesters.
The Iranian representative to the UN, Amir Saeed Iravani, sent a letter to the Secretary-General and the President of the Security Council, stating that Trump's statements pose a threat to Iran's sovereignty and security. He accused the U.S. and Israel of direct responsibility for the deaths of civilians and called on the UN Security Council to condemn incitements to violence and threats from the American side.
Neighboring countries, such as Saudi Arabia, Oman, and Qatar, expressed concern and urged the U.S. to refrain from military actions against Iran, according to The Wall Street Journal.
According to the latest data, protests have spread to 585 locations in 186 cities across Iran, with the total number of detainees exceeding tens of thousands.
It is worth noting that the country has been without internet for over 100 hours, and mobile communication has been disabled. Mass protests, triggered by an economic crisis and the devaluation of the national currency, have been ongoing since late December 2025.
