At a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh, the draft Law "On the Ratification of the Loan Agreement between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Saudi Fund for Development for the project 'Construction of Public Schools' Phase-2" was unanimously adopted. This document was signed on October 9, 2025, in Bishkek.
According to the authors of the bill, this agreement provides for the construction of 14 new schools in Bishkek and the Chui region.
The loan, provided at an interest rate of 1.5% per annum, amounts to 50 million dollars and will be repaid over a period of 25 years.
