The Ministry of Natural Resources and KOICA discussed a $10 million project to improve air quality.

On February 2, a meeting took place at the Ministry of Nature, where Minister Meder Mashiyev and Deputy Minister Asel Raimkulova discussed an important project with a delegation from the Korean International Cooperation Agency (KOICA).

According to the press service of the Ministry of Nature, the implementation of an initiative aimed at improving air quality, scheduled for the period from 2026 to 2028 in Bishkek and the Chui region, was discussed.

The project includes grant financial assistance from the Government of Korea of up to $10 million. The main objectives are to reduce emissions of pollutants, develop a comprehensive air quality management plan, and implement environmentally friendly heating systems in public sector educational institutions.
