According to the intelligence agency, the detained individual, T.M.Sh., who lived in the Aravan district of the Osh region, actively spread extremist ideology among local believers. He called for the overthrow of the current constitutional order and the establishment of a theocratic state in the form of a "caliphate." In addition, this person was involved in recruiting citizens to participate in combat operations on the side of illegal armed groups in the Middle East and planned terrorist attacks on the territory of Kyrgyzstan.
During ongoing counter-terrorism operations, the suspect was detained in Istanbul. On March 16, he was returned to Kyrgyzstan by SCNS employees.
Currently, the investigation into this case is ongoing.
