The Military Prosecutor's Office has initiated a criminal case against former Emergency Situations Minister Urmatbek Shamyrkanov for receiving a bribe.
In the department, it was noted that "a legal assessment" of Shamyrkanov's actions will be provided following the investigation.
It is worth noting that on March 10, President Sadyr Japarov made the decision to relieve Urmatbek Shamyrkanov of his duties. The president's press secretary, Askhat Alagozov, stated that the dismissal is related to suspicions of receiving a bribe while Shamyrkanov was serving as Deputy Minister.
