Askhat Alagozov, the press secretary of the president, revealed the reasons why Urmatbek Shamyrcanov was dismissed from the position of head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
According to him, the dismissal occurred against the backdrop of suspicions of receiving a bribe while Shamyrcanov was acting as deputy minister.
In particular, during the summer months of 2025, he allegedly demanded money for promoting one of the Ministry's employees, who later reported that he transferred part of the agreed amount to Shamyrcanov's electronic wallet.
After Shamyrcanov was appointed as minister, the employee stated that he would not be able to transfer the remaining amount, which led to his transfer to the Batken region.
The situation was brought to the attention of President Sadyr Japarov, who instructed the General Prosecutor's Office to conduct an investigation. During the investigation, the facts were confirmed.
The president noted that this event serves as proof of the well-known saying: "An unclean deed will become evident even after forty years." He emphasized that in the modern world, wrongful actions come to light more quickly, and this should serve as a lesson for all public servants, he added.
