In response to the information about the detention of nephrologist Nasira Beishebaeva from the National Center for Maternal and Child Health, the Ministry of Health reported that investigative actions are being conducted by authorized bodies in accordance with the legislation of the country. The press service of the ministry made a corresponding statement.

In the message, it is noted that "The Ministry of Health always supports legality, the protection of the rights of both patients and medical workers, conducting a fair legal assessment, based solely on facts and professional expertise."

Health Minister Kanaybek Dosmambetov, upon receiving the information, immediately contacted the relevant state authorities, emphasizing the importance of a thorough, comprehensive, and impartial examination of all circumstances of the case, taking into account medical and expert opinions, including the possibility of applying a preventive measure not related to deprivation of liberty.

The ministry emphasized the need to maintain a balance: it is unacceptable to either conceal violations or unjustly prosecute medical workers. The final decision on each case should be made based on the totality of facts and independent medical expertise," the press service added.

It is worth recalling that on February 18, a nephrologist, candidate of medical sciences, and associate professor Nasira Beishebaeva was detained in Bishkek. According to the Bishkek City Police Department, the mother of one of the patients treated at the medical facility in 2024 filed a complaint about a possible medical error. According to this complaint, the nephrologist allegedly provided improper treatment to the minor K. A., born in 2011, which led to serious consequences - the amputation of her right leg. In this regard, a criminal case has been initiated under part 2 of Article 146 "Improper performance of professional duties by a medical or pharmaceutical worker, resulting in serious harm through negligence" of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.

Based on the results of forensic medical examinations, charges have been brought against the suspect, and she has been detained and placed in the temporary detention facility of the Bishkek City Police Department.

The staff of the National Center for Maternal and Child Health appealed on social media to the President of Kyrgyzstan, Sadyr Japarov, requesting an objective investigation into this case. Medical professionals are also asking to consider the possibility of applying a preventive measure to Beishebaeva that is not related to arrest.
