The Bishkek City Police Department commented on the detention of nephrologist Nasira Beishebaeva. The staff of the National Center for the Protection of Motherhood and Childhood sent a video message to the President of Kyrgyzstan, Sadyr Japarov, calling for a fair investigation of the case. Medical workers are requesting that a preventive measure be chosen for Beishebaeva that is not related to imprisonment.

According to the press service of the department, on August 28, 2025, Z. S. filed a complaint with law enforcement agencies regarding an alleged medical error at the National Center for the Protection of Motherhood and Childhood of the Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic.

According to the information provided in the statement, in October 2024, nephrologist N. B. committed improper treatment while treating a minor, K. A., born in 2011, which led to serious consequences — the amputation of the right leg.

Based on the results of forensic medical examinations, charges have been brought against the suspect. She is currently detained and is in the temporary detention facility of the Bishkek City Police Department.
