In an official statement, the Ministry of Education of the Kyrgyz Republic indicated that the man detained on suspicion of fraud, I. R., has no connection to vocational educational institutions in Kara-Balta. The agency emphasized that previously circulated information about his work in one of the lyceums is false.

The Ministry urged citizens to rely on verified and official sources of information rather than rumors.

According to reports from the press service of the Main Department of Internal Affairs of the Chui region, the detention took place in the Jayil district, where the man is suspected of fraud related to the issuance of driver's licenses. It became known that on January 22, a resident of the Panfilov district filed a complaint with the local police department, stating that in November 2025, I. R. promised to enter him into the electronic database for obtaining a driver's license for a certain reward.

The applicant handed him the amount of 30,600 soms; however, the promised actions were not carried out, and the money was not returned. In this regard, a criminal case was initiated under Article 209 "Fraud" of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. The suspect, who had previous convictions and was born in 1966, was detained and placed in a temporary detention facility. The investigation is ongoing.
