As a result of joint efforts by GKNB employees, the Internal Investigations Department of the State Penitentiary Service, and the Internal Investigations Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, it was established that the perpetrators were an employee of IK-16, J.D., and a police officer from the First May District Department of Internal Affairs, T.N. According to the investigation, from December 2024 to April 2025, they deceived a convict from IK-1, demanding a significant sum of money under the pretext of resolving the issue of clemency. However, the convict was ultimately denied clemency.
This act has been classified under Article 204, Part 4 ("Fraud using official position") of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
At present, the detainees have been placed in the temporary detention facility of the GKNB.
