
According to the police information, a criminal case was initiated on December 6, 2000, against K.K., born in 1972 and residing in the Talas district, under Article 129, Part 1 "Rape" (as per the 1997 edition). Just five days later, on December 11, 2000, the district prosecutor's office decided to arrest him and announced him wanted.
Later, the case was reclassified under Article 154 (Part 2, Clause 3) "Rape accompanied by a threat of violence dangerous to life or health." The man was officially considered wanted since February 18, 2000, after which he evaded capture for more than two decades.

As a result of international cooperation, the Talas police department was able to establish the whereabouts of the wanted individual. In June 2024, he was detained in Yekaterinburg (Russia). Following his arrest, the extradition process began.
K.K. was brought to Kyrgyzstan on February 1, 2026, where he was handed over to the investigative authorities and placed in a temporary detention facility in Talas.
Currently, investigative actions are being conducted with him.
