In Bishkek, a man intervened on behalf of a stranger and was stabbed.

On January 19, the press service of the Lenin District Internal Affairs Department reported the detention of a suspect in a hooliganism case.

The incident occurred on January 17. At 07:05, the police received information from a medical institution about a 33-year-old man who had been hospitalized with a stab wound.

The investigative operational group that arrived at the scene found that the victim had sustained injuries to the area of his left shoulder.

According to the investigation, the incident took place near a café on Selsovetskaya Street when the man witnessed another person beating his wife. He attempted to intervene and protect the woman, after which the aggressor stabbed him twice and fled the scene.

This case was registered in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic ("Hooliganism").

The police promptly detained the suspect, 22-year-old A.A., who is now in a temporary detention facility.

Further investigation is currently underway.
