Drunk Driver Tried to Jump Out of Moving Car and Got into a Scuffle with Police. He Had Previously Caused an Accident.
The incident occurred on the night of January 7 in Shopokov during the "Wheel" raid. Officers of the Traffic Police of Chui Region stopped a BMW X5 vehicle in the area of the Novostroyka residential area. During the document check, the driver raised suspicions of being in a state of alcohol intoxication, which led to the decision to take him to the local narcology center.
On the way to Frunze Street in the village of Sokuluk, the driver attempted to exit the moving vehicle; however, the inspectors were able to restrain him.
A conflict occurred at the narcological facility, during which the detainee damaged the uniform of a law enforcement officer and inflicted a closed head injury with a concussion.
This incident was registered under Article 280 ("Hooliganism") of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. The suspect, identified as I.A., born in 1993, was placed in a temporary detention facility.
The press service noted that this individual had previous legal issues, as on February 18, 2022, in the village of Sokuluk, while driving a Toyota Land Cruiser 100, he hit two schoolgirls and fled the scene. The girls sustained serious injuries, and as a result, criminal cases were opened under Articles 312 ("Violation of traffic safety rules and operation of motor vehicles") and 144 ("Leaving in danger") of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. The cases were forwarded to court.
