Investigator of the Internal Affairs Department of the Jayil District detained for extorting 150,000 soms

In the Chui region, employees of the State Committee for National Security (SCNS) of Kyrgyzstan, together with the Internal Investigations Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, uncovered a case of extortion involving an investigator from the Jaily District Department of Internal Affairs.

According to the press center of the SCNS, on January 13, as part of operational activities related to the pre-trial proceedings registered in the automated information system ERP, police captain J.A.Z., who works in the investigative service of the Jaily District Department of Internal Affairs, was detained. He is accused of attempting to extort 150,000 soms for the termination of a criminal case.

As a result of the incident, a criminal case has been initiated, and the suspect has been placed in the temporary detention facility of the SCNS of Kyrgyzstan. Currently, additional investigative actions are ongoing to establish possible accomplices.
