Investigator of the Internal Affairs Department of the Jayil District Caught Taking Bribe

Employees of the State Committee for National Security (GKNB) arrested an investigator from the Internal Affairs Department of the Jayil District in the Chui Region who was extorting a bribe of 150,000 soms for terminating a criminal case.
The operation during which the arrest occurred was conducted jointly with the Internal Security Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. This measure is part of a series of actions aimed at combating corruption in state and law enforcement structures in the region.
According to the agency, during operational activities, the fact of extortion was established. On January 13, 2026, police captain J.A.Z., working in the investigative service of the Internal Affairs Department of the Jayil District, was detained while receiving the specified amount. The case has been registered in the automated information system ERP, with qualification under the signs of the crime provided for by Article 343 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The detainee has been sent to the temporary detention facility of the GKNB.
Currently, additional operational and investigative activities are ongoing to identify possible accomplices.
