Employee of the Jailysky District Internal Affairs Department Detained for Extortion of a Bribe

An employee of the Jaiyl district police department has been arrested on suspicion of extorting a bribe. This was reported by the press service of the State Committee for National Security (SCNS).

According to information from the SCNS, investigator J.A.Z. was detained on January 13 after he demanded 150,000 soms for halting a criminal case.

The detainee is currently in the temporary detention facility of the SCNS.

“Currently, the SCNS is conducting additional operational and investigative actions to identify other involved individuals,” the statement noted.
