Six cable cars will be built in Jyrgalan by December: project details

The first stage of construction at the tourist center "Jyrgalan" will be completed by December 2026. As part of this stage, the Austrian company Doppelmayr plans to install six cable cars. This was announced at a press conference at the "Kabar" agency by Jarkynbek Maksutov, chairman of the board of OJSC "Ala-Too Resort".

Maksutov noted that the first two lines, with a length of 4 km, will be put into operation as early as May of this year. "The contract with the Austrian company was signed last year. According to the agreement, by May 2026, the company will fully complete the construction of two cable cars," he added.

In addition, a month ago, a deal was made with the same company for the implementation of the second stage, which includes the construction of four more cable cars by December of this year.

"We are doing everything possible to fulfill the instructions of President Sadyr Japarov and to complete the first stage of construction of the tourist town 'Jyrgalan' by December of this year," emphasized Jarkynbek Maksutov.
