JSC "Ala-Too Resort" and the company Doppelmayr have signed an agreement for the construction of four new cable cars at the "Jyrgalan" resort. This information was announced by representatives of JSC "Ala-Too Resort".
The contract was signed by Valery Yashin, head of the Russia and CIS division of Doppelmayr, and Zharqynbek Maksutov, chairman of the board of JSC "Ala-Too Resort".
This agreement continues the implementation of a large project to create a modern ski resort in the Issyk-Kul region. Recall that last year the first agreement was signed, under which the construction of two main cable cars has already begun, which are planned to be launched in May of this year.
"According to the new contract, by the end of this year, four more cable cars will be built in Jyrgalan. Thus, by December, the total length of the cable lines will exceed 8 kilometers, and the ski trails will total 46 kilometers," the press release states.
First Stage of Resort DevelopmentAs Valery Yashin noted, the contract signed last year marked the start of large-scale construction of the new resort. During this time, a master plan for the comprehensive development of Jyrgalan has been developed, which includes not only cable cars but also the necessary infrastructure.
This master plan defines the first phase of the project, covering the creation of all accompanying infrastructure.
"This year, in addition to the construction of lifts, extensive work is planned on the mountain to create a full-fledged service complex. Our goal is to provide tourists with a level of service comparable to leading world resorts by December," he added.

Representatives of Doppelmayr emphasized that the equipment being installed at the resort is among the most advanced in the industry. The company implements projects in 96 countries, and this resort will be the first of its scale in Kyrgyzstan.
Particular attention is paid to both the quality of the lifts and the entire infrastructure being created at a high international level.
Construction in Challenging Mountain Conditions
Despite the challenging terrain and climatic conditions, the contractor is confident in meeting deadlines. About 60% of the company's projects are implemented in high-altitude regions. Doppelmayr has projects for the construction of lifts at altitudes of up to 4,000 meters.
The company also notes that it has significant experience working in winter conditions, including laying technological corridors and delivering equipment to snow-covered areas.
"The pace of construction in Jyrgalan is high, and in several areas, we are moving ahead of schedule. The first lifts are planned to be put into operation by the end of May, and the completion of the first phase of the project is scheduled for December of this year," concluded "Ala-Too Resort."
