Moreover, he reported that the second stage of the auction for the sale of OJSC "Ala-Too Resort" facilities will be open to both local and foreign investors.

“The conditions for all interested parties are the same. However, we transfer land to domestic investors for private ownership by issuing a so-called red book, while foreign investors will receive plots for lease for 49 years. The auction will be held in an online format, which will ensure the transparency of the process,” the chairman assured.

Maksutov also mentioned that during the first stage of the auction, 14 lots were sold, and construction work began immediately. Foundations for several hotels were dug. Construction was halted in winter but will resume in April.

The "Ala-Too Resort" project is an ambitious state initiative aimed at creating the largest ski cluster in Central Asia. It includes three key zones — "Jyrgalan," "Ak-Bulak," and "Boz-Uchuk," located in the Issyk-Kul region.

It is expected that the total length of ski trails will be about 250 kilometers, and the resort will be able to accommodate up to 2 million tourists per year, creating more than 4,600 jobs. In the first stage, 1,624 hectares have been prepared in Jyrgalan for resort infrastructure, including trails, cable cars, a substation, and engineering networks.
