The new law introduces several key concepts, such as "geoinformation technologies" and "geoinformation systems," and clarifies the powers of both state bodies and local authorities.
Furthermore, the draft law mandates the use of spatial data and materials stored in the state fund of spatial data, as well as information from the unified electronic cartographic base, in the cartographic activities of state authorities and local self-government when processing spatial data.
