The initiator of this draft law was the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers.
This draft law introduces several new terms, such as "geoinformation systems" and "geoinformation technologies," and clarifies the powers of state and local authorities.
In addition, the project includes the mandatory use of spatial data and materials stored in the state fund of spatial data, as well as a unified electronic cartographic base for carrying out cartographic activities necessary for state authorities and local self-government in processing spatial data.
