Company representatives noted that construction work is currently 80% complete. Initially, the project was supposed to be completed in 36 months; however, thanks to the acceleration of work, the implementation period has been reduced to 24 months.
According to the provided information, the annual electricity generation is expected to be 600 million kWh. The total investment in the project will reach 280 million US dollars by February 2027. The commissioning of the first phase with a capacity of 100 MW is scheduled for August 2026, while subsequent phases are planned for August 2027.
In addition, Kasymaliev also reviewed the project of the Vietnamese company Rox Energy Global, which is building a solar power plant in the village of Kyzyl-Oruk, located in the Issyk-Kul region. The start of construction of the "Issyk-Kul-1" station is planned for September 2025. The project envisions a total installed capacity of 1,900 MW and total investments of 1.4 billion dollars.
The station will be able to produce up to 3.6 billion kWh of clean electricity annually. The project will be implemented in stages, including:
- First phase — 150 MW;
- Second phase — 450 MW;
- Third phase — 1,300 MW.
The completion of the construction of the "Issyk-Kul-1" solar power plant is scheduled for 2028.
