The head of the cabinet was shown solar energy projects at Issyk-Kul.
During his visit, he went to the village of Toru-Aigyr, located in the Issyk-Kul district. Here, he studied the solar power plant project being implemented by the company OsOO "Bishkek Solar." Detailed information about the construction and prospects of this facility was presented to him on display stands.
According to representatives of "Bishkek Solar," the power plant will have significant capacity. Construction work has already been completed by 80%. Initially, the project was planned to be completed in 36 months, but thanks to effective work, the timeline has been reduced to 24 months.
It is expected that the annual electricity generation will amount to 600 million kilowatt-hours. The investment volume in the project will reach 280 million dollars by February next year. The first phase, with a capacity of 100 megawatts, is planned to be commissioned in August 2026, while subsequent phases are scheduled for August 2027.
After that, Adylbek Kasymaliev was introduced to another project being carried out by the Vietnamese company "Rox Energy Global" in the village of Kyzyl-Oruk, also located in the Issyk-Kul district.
The construction of the solar power plant "Issyk-Kul-1" started in September 2025. This ambitious project envisions a total capacity of 1,900 megawatts with a total investment volume of 1.4 billion dollars. The station is expected to produce 3.6 billion kilowatt-hours of environmentally friendly electricity annually.
The project includes three phases: the first with a capacity of 150 megawatts, the second with 450 megawatts, and the third with 1,300 megawatts. The complete construction of the solar power plant "Issyk-Kul-1" is scheduled for 2028.
During his visit, Kasymaliev noted the activity of investors and the speed of project implementation.
“I am pleased to see such high dynamics in project implementation in such a short time. This is a vivid example of effective interaction between the investor and the state. The Cabinet of Ministers is ready to create all necessary conditions and provide comprehensive support to investors willing to invest in the economy of our country, whether it be projects in energy, infrastructure, or agriculture,” he concluded.
