On February 3, a video conference was held between David O'Sullivan, the European Union's special envoy for sanctions, and Daniyar Amangeldiev, the First Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan, as reported by the press service of the Cabinet.
During the negotiations, the parties expressed interest in continuing constructive dialogue regarding issues related to sanctions, as well as financial and economic cooperation.
To ensure stability and predictability in cooperation, an agreement was reached to conduct regular consultations aimed at minimizing sanction risks.
A visit by David O'Sullivan to the Kyrgyz Republic is scheduled for February 26, 2026, during which the aforementioned topics will be further discussed.
